I was just leaving my house right now when all of the sudden I feel my brakes lock even after I remove my foot from the brake, I manage to drive back home with my brakes locked up and steaming. Once I get home my brakes are still steaming and my brake pedal suddenly decides to unlock, I drove around the block to see if they would lock again they didnt but my brake pedal goes all the way to the floor losely. The steam and the lose brake pedal I beleive was caused by the boiled brake fluid but I dont know how the brakes just stayed lock, anyone have any ideas?

take the wheels off. pull the calipers, inspect them. are your pads/rotors extremely worn out? do the slide pins move freely? if it all looks good, rebleed the lines, and put it back together. do not just assume they are fine, this is an important part of the car.

The steam wasn't from the fluid, unless you had brake fluid spraying out. It was from the pads and or rotors over heating, which caused the fluid to boil, which caused the pedal to sink to the floor.

Was this on all 4 corners, or just one? And what do you mean by the pedal locked up? If it was all four corners that locked up at once, I would start at the master cylinder / pedal assembly. Basically anything that controls all four corners of the brakes at once. If it was just one corner, or the front or rear, then it could be separate issues all together.

Like SR said, pull the calipers loose, make sure they move freely, and completely flush out all of the old brake fluid with new fluid, and bleed everything out really good. You might also check and make sure all off the pistons can be compressed. The fronts should be able to be compressed in with a C-clamp or similar compressing tool. The rears need to be "screwed" in. Get the funny looking cube deal from the parts stor for the rear. Also check the rotors, pads, and seals; make sure they haven't been damaged from the excessive heat build up.

BTW, the fluid needs to be replaced regardless. Anytime you boil the fluid you need to replace it.

Two of those pushy things surrounded by rubber were seized, one on the passenger side front and one on the driver side back. So I put a little lubricant on them and now they slide normally. I also took the opportunity to install some Project MU Type NS brake pads that I got for cheap. I immediatlly felt a great improvement over the no name brake pads that used to be on my car.

The fluid still needs to be purged regardless.
