if it's a packaged kit instaled propery with the correct jets then yes uit's safe, no wores on the motor than a turbo or sc, Nitrous gets a bad name form people getting greedy and trying to add too much spray, engine goes lean and bang, time for a new motor, I should know I've done it, stay withing the manufacturer suggesed setting and you'll be fine

I have been looking into it and i think i found two kits that look pretty good to me but i kinda need some help, ZEX has a kit specialy made for the 350Z that is rated from 55-100 hp, NOS also has a kit called the sniper its rated anywhere from 50-150 hp. My questions are if i do get one of these and stay within the margins which from me i think are gonna be from 75-100 hp is that safe for my engine and will i need to get any other componants such as better spark plugs or fule pump? Speeking of fule pump does anyone know what the rate of the stock 06 fuel pump is? Anything else anyone can tell me about these kits, the Z on nitrous oxide, or nitrous oxide in general will be helpfull.

I stay away from nitrous. It's just something about combustions inside the engine I don't like.

. I have a Zex 2 stage wet kit with a 200 shot nozzle, and thats alot. If you even get close to that kind of shot you will need to do some engine work. Forged pistons, retard, Modified by modified350z at 11:43 PM 10/17/2007

I have had my Zex 2 stage nitrous kit with a 200 shot nozzle and running it for almost 4 months now and have refilled my 10lb bottle about a dozen times. BUT IF YOU DO NOT DO ANY KIND OF PISTON WORK YOU WILL BLOW YOUR MOTOR ON THAT HIGH A SHOT. I also do not use it everyday or even 5 days a week. Its great to play with and definately gives you the extra horsepower, but like anything if you push it to long and hard it will break.

Just telling you the ups and downs of going real big. A 50-100 shot used once, maybe twice a week and the with the wright gas/nitrous mixture you should have no problems at all. I will tell you though....I started with a 75, then 100, 125,then made the jump. It gets addicting. Now cause of other mods, I can only run at most 50. You dont know till you try it. Heat is the biggest problem(besides the wright mixture) so definately put some royal purple radiator coolant in it. Great stuff. And thanks for the compliment on my car.

WOW. You don't like combustion in your engine?

I agree with modified350z. If nitrous is properly installed and tuned (meaning with a wideband with timing control) it can be a very safe, and effective way to increase power.

I'm installing a Zex kit with a UTEC and tuning on the dyno today, I'll post results this evening or tomorrow after I'm through tuning. I only have 75shot jets right now but I plan on going all the way up to 125 shot on the stock motor, then building and running more down the road.

You will love the 125 shot but I bet you will be curious what the other feels like Thats what happened with me. I was like a kid....wanting more and more. Good luck with it and have fun. If they charge you more than 4 buck a pound for nitrous its a rip off. Alot of garages charge more

I'm not worried about getting ripped off on nitrous... I own a shop.

I charge $2.50-3.00 a pound btw. It depends on how often I buy how cheap I can get it.

I didn't finish my install today, so I'll finish up tomorrow and hopefully have some dyno sheets to post.

Well....

It all broke here first. I'm surprised it took this long before the other Z forums got wind of it....

Regardless of modified350, I did go ahead and throw the 125shot jets on my Zex kit. I made just over 325whp and close to 400tq with an otherwise stock engine. I'll post dyno sheets soon.

I will probably just run the 75shot for the most part in the interest of longevity. I haven't seen a single instance of detonation through my UTEC though.

Here's my 75shot graph:

Hi I have a 2007 350z and learned alot about the 350zzzzz, the 2007 to 2009 are much stronger engines and can hold more NOS and make alot more power then the olders ones like the 2006 and down can NOT.
My 350z can hold 125hp Nos jets all day long and the motor loves it, only thing to upgrade is install 1 step colder colder plugs from a 2010 to 2016 370z nissan made that car more nitrious ready and blower ready. the plugs made a wicked power difference as son as i installed them, they told the computer to run colder and added more fuel and more air which meant more power to the engine and the car idles a tiny bit higher now. the 125Nos jets loved all that air and more fuel and all i had to run is 94octane super premuim fuel and throw in a bottle of octane boost everytime you fill up and car will run flawlessly with or with out nitrious bieng used. In canada here NOS fill ups are $8.50 to $10.00per pound,
