I made these videos a while back but forgot about it.

Anyway, one of the locations I go to on business has some of the worst water ever and I decided to give one of those water filter jugs a shot. Included is the video of my initial crack at it and the verdict.

Does Zero claim that their water tastes better?

Of just cleaner?

I'm not sure of either. Oddly enough, when I use that tester on a bottle of something like Evian or other bottled water, it's not a 0, usually hovers around 50-100.

The water I tested in the video was from the Hampton Roads area. Easily some of the worst water I've tasted in the continental 48.

I actually have one of them. They work pretty well. The only annoying part is when I or another household member uses it and forgets to refill it before putting it back in the fridge. It's a similar kinda annoyance when you take a dump and then realize the person before you left just enough toilet paper to cover the base of the roll...

My tap water got really bad for a while a couple years ago. It had...stuff...floating in it in addition to tasting horrible.
I picked up a brita or some kinda filter pitcher. It definitely made a huge difference. For some reason the nasty tap water went away after a few months and now I don't need the filter. Honestly, my favorite part of the filter pitcher was that it kept the water chilled. Now I have a 2 gallon water jug designed specifically to fit on fridge shelves that I use...no filter, but cold water rocks.

We are very fortunate to have some the best water in the country here. There is no need for any filters because our water is sourced from artesian wells.

Kinda. It helps but doesn't help a ton. If you have water that tastes like sewage, after zero water it'll just taste like sewage shaken, not stirred.

A peek into the life of flohtingpoint :chuckle:

I buy jugs of water for where I live currently since I'm just a renter anyhow so I'm not going to buy anything really expensive.
DE water is not to be trusted, but I'll agree there's worse elsewhere
But I do have this type of faucet filter I got for my mum's b-day last year:
Image
It works great, although the faucet fixture can be a little delicate. Can't remember the brand but they're all similar in construction anyway..
I've used the Brita pitcher and faucet fixture as well at the ex's place. They do well for better taste but I'm more leery about
other chemicals/pharmaceutical drugs in the water (just about ALL of northern DE's waterways are deemed unsafe to fish/swim in by the EPA). Thanks DuPont/Zeneca  Whether it's in the tap water.. I don't want to know.

Also: Did I hear a 'meow'?

Some say he's just a forum lurker bot, and that his post count shows that size might matter.

I have to take her with me as she throws temper tantrums if I leave her at home and will pee on random things or fight with my roommates cat.

Before anyone asks, she's named after http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtjYv7ugDIo

No. A safe conclusion is Zero Water sucks if your tap water sucks. It doesnt perform miracles. But if the tap water is not that bad (like in my area), then it's works okay.

lol, she really is. She gets very chatty when I'm talking. It's really bad when I have to get on a conf call when Bodybag is around, as I have to stay on mute the whole time, and when I do finally talk, all everyone hears in the background is MOW MOW MOW MOW MOW MOW MOW MOW
