I was thinking about getting a set of these lowering springs for my 90 coupe. I can't afford $700+ coilover kits at this moment. Anyone have good success with these springs? Even though they say it's not a TEIN knockoff, they really do look like them...even the box looks sorta same.

Why not pay a little more for the real thing? It's better than paying twice and removing/installing springs twice.

If all you want is getting the lowered look, but want to keep the budget down and not have to replace the struts (which may already be blown), you can get Eibach Pro-Kits, RSR Springs, TEIN Springs... or even Espelir springs, which are a little more expensive, but lower the car 2" & keep basically stock rates. A friend of mine has Espelirs, look nice & work great for daily driving - also won't blow out your stock shocks from having too high a spring rate.

You do have a good point. I'm leaning towards the TEIN springs since they are not that bad priced.
