Hey all, well one of my buddies has a toyota celica and he just got a Curren front end for a conversion process. in case you dont know toyota has a car that almost mirrors the S14 in its good looks, but surpasses it with its QUALITY glass headlights.

I went over to his place when it shipped and couldnt resist, so I test fit them on my car and I must say they are SOO close to fitting. It probibly isnt worth it to accually do the conversion but it was a cool thing to check out and accually fit up.

the headlights are almost a direct fit, mounts are in the same location on the corners, they are the same height, the same lenght its just the curren lights drop off at a sharper angle than the zenki's lights. all that needs to be done to fit them would be drilling one more hole .5" higher than the stock screw on the corner (2nd screw will fit in the nissan spot, a plastic tab needs to be cut off, a small mount needs to be made from the grill mounting point to the headlight, and something needs to be done to fill the 1/2" gap between the light and hood (fiberglass?). otherwise all is identicaly spec to size.

Currens have a low/highbeam bulb on the outter side of the lights that glows a brilliant blue/white and a stock yellow fog light on the inside of the light housing

I'll let the pictures speak for them selves.

its just something i thought i'd share, id be cheaper just to get a set of german glass headlights, but for someone who wanted something differnt... they do appear a tad more agressive imo.the Curren corner light is far off but the stock Zenki corner still fits perfectly and lines up with the curren light...

enjoy... ~Jon (ThrwnSprkz)

Wow, that's a real close fit. Looks really nice though. Never heard of the Curren...

^ Never seen that before. I didnt realize the Curren (JDM Celica?) had a different front end.

The headlights match very closely. Good research, Jon.

For that body style (ST202/ST205), the Celica hatchback was the same in the US and Japan. The Celica coupe was sold as the Curren in Japan with a different front.

Its like how Nissan simultaneously sold the S13 Silvia and 180SX as 2 separate cars.

I think those lights look pretty damn cool. I hate how S14 lights are plastic and turn yellow. I also hate that the glass ones run anywhere from $400-$600. We need a new alternative!
