does anyone know how I could do this headlight headlight conversion without having to do a a full on kouki frontend conversion. here----> http://onlineshowoff.com/images/feature ... /02.jpgand here http://onlineshowoff.com/images/features/27/16.jpg

It was said that he used projectors from a BMW E46 M3 to do it.Does anyone have any idea what this would cost to do or would it be cheaper just to to the kouki conversion?

it doesn't look like there's any real body panel changes except for the headlight eyebrow. . . the outer headlight housing looks standard. . . it's only the inner housing that's been changed to include that projector lamp. . .

frankly it doesn't look like it'd be THAT expensive but I'm not exactly sure how you would crack open the OEM headlight housing and how much work it would be to fabricate the bracketry for the projector. . .

oh wells. . guess i'm not too much help . . .

it would help if we knew what car he had. would be that hard on a 95 240 but on a delorean? thats another story

at least he wouldn't have to worry about repainting the delorean

I have a 96 240sx and the car in the pics is a 95...the headlights are custom...just want to know if it would be cheaper to do that kind of fabrication rather than a full on conversion to the 97-98. better yet, would anyone know if there is a website that would be able to do a fabrication like this. and f8sjester....huh????

if there were custom fabrication on the delorean, you wouldn't have to paint over the stainless steel fenders/hood/whatever. . .

I think he is talking about the projector in the 95-96 headlight. I think it's custom made and I know I haven't seen a conversion.

alrite, yeah those are Zenki (95-96) headlights and all they did was add a projector lense setup...but if its from an E46 M3, those are self-leveling projector lenses...NOT CHEAP...but something VERY COOL nonetheless, i have actually been thinkin about trying something like this for a while and i plan on doin it still, just in not so near future...

btw, do u have a link to the article? [email protected] i would really like to read that:)

Thanks-Dan

those are regular headligts... and I can see how the guy did it... I am going to do that as well... I just bought some HID"s and am planing on buying some projectors..

you have to be very careful and handy with a dremmel and you can fit a projector in the headlight.... wait about 3-6 months and I will have done it...I will also do a write up on it so just wait..

i believe OBX is in R&D of a projector headlight for the 95-96 240s which will be a nice replacement over stock. i heard this from a person in another thread so this is may not be 100% accurate but we can always dream :)

this is what the projectors from the BMW E46 M3 look like. they are the ones on the left side. and for someone that has cracked their headlights open, does it look like and easy retrofit.
