*I know it's ZENKI, have a wireless keyboard and I slipped up. Tried to edit it, and for some reason it won't stick...so yeah*

Heya all, first post here. Let me start off by saying how good it is to have all this knowledge in one place, and thanks for having me.

I have a 95 240sx, just got her a few weeks ago. My turn signal switch is wobbly going back and forth, but for up and down, like activating the signals, is perfect. Thing is, when I am driving at night, if I stop hard or turn fast, the switch will go forward, and the high beams will come on right away. It kinda worries me, I mean, I can switch them off just as fast, but it's not a good idea to be flashing your high beams at folks at night around here, and I don't wanna get shot at, lol. I did a search for an install, and couldn't find one. I have read that people have replaced them (several times) and then have crazy electrical problems with the lights afterwards. I have a new switch in hand ready to go, but I just want to get my ducks in a row, per se, before going in. It doesn't seem like it would be a lengthy install, but looks are almost always deceiving. If anyone has any info or terror stories to share regarding this, it would be greatly appreciated. Especially a little help on getting it re-wired right the first time, so that I don't have to deal with crazy turn signal problems. Any help is appreciate, and thank you for having me!

Welcome to Nico!

Thanks for correcting the "Zanki" thing.

I have a steering column headlight control switch stalk for sale if your interested. Is your car a "Base" model or an "SE" model?

The install is very basic and straightforward. You just unscrew the screws holding the steering column "shell" (two pieces) and then you unscrew the two screws holding the "stalk" in place. There is also a wiring harness that connects to the stalk which just pops off with the help of a small flathead screwdriver. The harness then just pops back into the new stalk. It's just that easy!

Let me know if your interested in the "Base" model stalk. I upgraded my car with fog lights and had to upgrade to an "SE" version of the stalk so there are no problems with the one I am offering for sale.

BTW, nice signature!

Thanks for the reply, and glad you dig the sig, lol. Yeah, forgot to mention, it's a base 4 lugger. I have the replacement already, it was just that I wanted more info on it before going in. But you were saying that in order to run fogs, you gotta upgrade to an SE stalk? Good to know, because the body kit I was looking at supports fogs nicely, and was wanting to get a pair. Thanks a bunch for the help, and the welcome!

I dig that kouki of yours. All the 97's here that haven't been riced out are very hard to come by, and when you do, they go for like 10-15k

Yes, you will need an "SE" stalk to run fog lights easily. Even your "Base" model car is pre-wired to accept fog lights. Look behind your front bumper and you will see the harness plugs hanging down up in there around where fog lights would be placed.

Other things you will need would of course be the actual fog lights and a blue "Relay Box" that just plugs into a receptacle in the black box on the passenger side of the engine compartment. Take the lid off the black box and you can see where the blue "Relay Box" would go. Your box should be labeled. Again, Nissan made it "just that easy!"

You can also have the luxury of having delayed windshield wipers with an "SE" windshield wiper stalk. That one is just plug and play with no need for any additional hardware. Take the old stalk out and install the new one.
