Apple and Pig...does that single sub bang enough? My shop told me that he had heard AC/G35s and that 1 sub wouldnt sound like Im used to. Previous ride was a Durango with 2 12" JL W0s pushing about 800 watts to the scoop and it hit HARD. Clearly I dont expect it to sound like that with a trunk in between, just curious if you are happy with single sub.

As far as that Zenclosure box effecting trunk space, it actually doesnt take up too much room of the already miniscule trunk. I mean unless you are worried about fitting the last 2 bags of groceries, no sweat. The trunk is so small as is that anything that you could fit before (golf bag, gym bag, what have you) will still fit no problem. I can take some more pics/measurements if anyone needs, let me know. Otherwise the pic is what you get, pretty good rep of how it really is.

Yeah single sub does hit hard enough. My Rockford Fosgate T1 12" cracked my windshield the other day. Had the smallest rock chip for like a month. Didn't really crank my system. Then one of my boys wanted to see what it could do...crack went all the way across my windshield. Get a decent sub for a single sub and it'll hit plenty hard.

Thats rediculous, Im curious to see how the rest of the car holds up with the bass shakin it all to sh*t. I already have a small rattle in the door/seatbelt harness area just from the stock system. I have a feeling Im going to be buying a lot of foam tape...

yeah i know. I bought those subs, a different box, that amp, and a capacitor off my friend for $220. Too bad the shop only connected one of the voice coils when they installed them in the box.
Diamond was just reading back through this thread and saw this...they probably only wired 1 voice coil because the amp you were running had better rating (stable) with a higher resistance load. If you were running a bridged set-up...a lot run more stable at 4 ohms. Im betting each coil was 4 ohms and the difference in sound if you wired both would be minimal to none so they went the safe route rather than take the load to 8 or 2 ohms.

Just my 2 cents...

But I went through a lot of trouble to get this particular sub. My previous ride had a single 12" Alpine Type-X and that just didn't sound as good as I wanted (though it got decently loud). Two subs will almost certainly hit louder though (with twice the cone area, they move twice the air). But I couldn't afford to sacrifice the whole trunk to put two twelves in (tens don't get deep enough for me personally). So I went with one insane 12. I'll probably never go back to a two sub setup, but part of that is because I don't think I'll ever have a car with an electrical system capable of powering two UL12s.

If you're making the move from two twelves to one, just be careful that you don't try to set the gain to high and blow the sub. Or, just get a beast of a sub.

Same here, have a useless Power Wedge now. Theres actually a user on here who has the same box and they have pics of it in the AC trunk...or should I say what used to be the trunk.

Im actually going 2 12"s to 2 10"s with the Zenclosures box and completely new subs (CHEAP, budget is tight right now, almost embarassed to say what I bought)...I think Im going to regret it.

yeah the place i went to admitted to messin up on that. I really dont know aduio into that much detail. But as long as you didn't get really sh**ty 10's you should be happy. 2 is always better than 1
