Amazing swap! Awesome work! I love seeing 240's stripped to the bone and built from ground up. Props to you!

i know this might be a huge stupid favor to ask someone who i don't even know....but.... zach did you at any point take exact measurements of your engine mount brackets that you fabricated??? the reason why i ask is because i'm about to dive into one of these swaps for my vert and since it is my daily driver i want it to have some sort of insulation between the engine and the body like you did yours, the way am gonna try to accomplish it all will be by pre-fabricating everything to make s as much as a drop-in swap as i can, that's why i would like to see if somehow i can get those measurements so i can duplicate your brackets.... thanks in advance, and if this was already asked by someone else i'm sorry...

Thanks guys. As for the dimensions, the important ones I can get from it while it's on the car easy enough.

Here is a quick update of what's been going on this weekend and what will continue today. Fronts are finally 5-lug, and I've been working on my braking system - starting with rebuilding my calipers. The front Z32 30mm calipers have been cleaned and powder coated, so rebuilding them was a breeze. The rears are quite nasty... When I popped the cone caps off the front hubs, I was amazed to see the assembly was so clean it looked like it just rolled off the line.

Thanks, here's a few more pictures. Brakes are pretty much done, need to finish bleeding and whatnot tomorrow. The car is about ready to take on the road, but there is one major issue in my way: I do not currently have wheels to fit this car and don't know anyone I could borrow a set from. Also, you can see from the pictures my really shi**y working conditions right now: on a trailer in a car port... and the wind was gusting around 45 mph all day long, ugh.

EMotor Coilovers (comparable to Megan; decent 8k & 6k)
Godspeed suspension parts (arms and bars)

When they shipped the coilovers, they accidentally pulled a box that was mix-matched colors that one of the inventory people didn't label. They offered to either exchange the blue struts, or refund part of my money and I went for the refund. Color doesn't really matter that much.

i love the trailer set-up, if you have to move it anywhere you don't need to tow it and all that lol, and it keeps you from having to clean the floor all the time, i feel you on the weather conditions lol, i work at an outdoor shop too... sad thing is i do it for a living lol...

well if you could take those measurements for me it would be amazing the min thing am worried about is the angle of the cuts.... i could paypal you money if you like lol just put a price on it ;) , again i would greatly appreciate it and thanks beforehand....

awesome build btw keep up the good work!

I'll get you the best dimensions I can. As for making them... I could, but I couldn't test fit them. I'll do a short write-up with dimensions and some tips to help you out, but give me a little bit of time.

Another mini update...

I have successfully installed a temporary oil pressure gauge, so I'm no longer worried about running the engine and not knowing where my oil pressure is. I hooked it up via a oil filter sandwich adapter (man I love these things). I got mine from GlowShift; great product! And more great news: I have acquired wheels and tires, so there's no more waiting around to move this bad boy.

Well, cluster is working - all except the tachometer. Temperature is good. No leaks. Brakes are good. Drove it for the very first time today!! It was dark and I was alone, so no video yet. I still need to adjust my ignition timing now that I am comfortable letting it idle and warm up. Here is a couple shots I took today, enjoy.

I had to lift the suspension as high as it would go to get it off of that trailer.

It was great. I was very conservative when I drove it because I still need to adjust the ignition timing and tune out the knock sensors. She is a beast!
