i heard someone ran this on their sr20 trans with no modification...my question is, do i order the whole clutch/press plate/flywheel combo from jwt, or do i keep the stock sr press plate?

thanx

clutch flywheel and pressure plate are all interchangeable but usually a clutch kit each part in it has advantages. Example flywheel will probably be lighter. Disc will grab harder and faster. And pressure plate usually has more clamping force for higher torque engines.

If you are looking for drivability you can go light flywheel organic disc(smoother shift without the chatter) and a superstrong pressureplate act has the strongest if you need superstrong. Pretty Mitch your clutch setup is whatever driver prefers.

thanx for the reply

cool, so u know for a fact the 350z jwt kit will work, but the pressure plate is up to me.

hmmm...then id just stick with the jwt all the way then, i really dont care for a super stiff clutch pedal

maxima clutch is supposed to be smooth. I just put a rb25 clutch in my buddies Sr swap. The only prob we ran in to was the bolt holes in the flywheel were bigger. ..not sure if it made a difference when we Torqued it. He's been driving only a week so we will see.

awesome, im going to order the kit and some arp flywheel bolts...

haha yeah, not fun in traffic is def NOT what im aiming for...i hate chatter...i end up dorifto-ing popping a quick 1st to 2nd shift to avoid chatter...but im older now, and i cant be scaring everyone to compensate for the unpredictable in traffic clutch grab...puck clutches are only for track...

stock rb25 kit? how much tq can that handle up to? time will tell if those bolts, will hold, im not trying to take any chances, i just got confirmation from a buddy of mine about the 350 clutch kit, and he said its great, so im most likely going that route...

any experience with arp flywheel bolts? oem better?

Ive been on stock flywheel bolts ever since I did my clutch. I dyno'd at 412 hp last spring w/ 395 tq. I'd say you can trust stock. I'm not sure how much torque that rb can hold. The pressure plate and disc look almost the same though. The only reason we even. Tried that clutch is because his stock was fried when we motorswapped his car. The company sent him the rb for free. I don't trust the bolts and bolt holes on that flywheel though. ..we will see what happens.
