I assume from the topic title, you want a Twin Turbo. Great car in my little opinion . On a serious note, jut be carefull on how the car looks as far as body, and how machanically(sp?) sound it is. Your best bet is to sheel out the money and buy one in already good condition. I would also think of repairing the car yourself if anything happens. The parts and labor get way too costly on these things. At any rate, good luck. When you find one I am sure you will love it! I hope I was of some help.

first tip pull the center panel between the headlights off, it covers the air filter box and you can see if the sheetmetal that lines the headlights has been bent in a front end collision, next thing find out whn the timign belt was last done and what else they did while they were in there, just parts alone can cost over $500 for a complete timing belt job (which parts need replacing depends on milage so the cost varies greatly)

When you find a car you are interested in, pay $75 and have a full inspection done at your local Nissan dealer. It only takes an hour or so. You'd be surprised how many people bring cars to us at the dealer to check them out before sealing the deal.

YOU WORK FOR A NISSAN DEALER!? no wonder youve been answering all of my questions!

anyways i would suggest getting an na for cheap and then doing a vg30dett engine swap. thats what im working on, i think it might be cheaper, but there is alot of hassle involved. i bought my z32 na for 4500 and the engine swap is gonna cost about 2,000 for an engine with 32k miles on it so if you think about it i basically got a tt for 6700. i dont know exactly how much they run regularly but i dont think its that cheap!

OK, that's $4.500 for the car and $2,000 for the motor, now what are you budgeting for all of the other components needed?

Intercooler piping typically brings $400-600 used.If you want A/C you will need at minimum a tt condensor and two lines, add another $200-300.Oil cooler, yep you are going to need it, budget $100-300.Intercoolers, even if you go with used stockers you will typically spend at least $100.Boost controller, you can't use stock solenoids as your harness will not support them. Budget $300-400 for and EBC unless you want a ghetto MBC.Manual transmission? If so, budget $300-500 for a clutch that will hold the additional power. You can use your NA trans but you will need to do some grinding in the bell housing and shim the starter for fit the TT clutch and flywheel. In the case of an auto, plan to source an auto trans.

The list can keep going but hopefully you see where I'm going with this. If you are budgeting $6,500 for your project you are setting yourself up for failure. I have performed about 25 NA/TT conversions, there's different variables on each one.
