Contact shaftmasters. They're a great site sponsor and they give forum discounts. He'll be able to answer any question you have about the driveshaft.

I have talked to them but they do not have any uprated ones.
Any other suggestions?

Assuming that Spicer one is the same size as the OEM one then it's probably an upgrade. Spicer is a good brand and that website seems to sell yokes for big power mudders... so it's probably beefed up. What are you looking to get an upgraded one for?

Z1 motorsports sells 1 piece driveshafts which use Spicer u-joints and yokes. These driveshafts are used on TT models pushing 750+ hp. How much are you shooting for?

you would have to REALLY beat on the car to break a yoke, even then you would more than likely break other parts first. i see guys at the track with stock shafts and they run big drag radials on the back. I have yet to see a yoke go, saw a tail housing crack though(on a 300).

I bought a shaft from shaftmasters, they were fast and cheap but unwilling to make a two piece shaft.
I will have to use this shaft as a temporary solution. .

The yoke seems to be fine, should not be weaker than stock and stock seems unbreakable, atleast for my use.

A one-piece shaft is 9 million times better than a 2-piece one anyway!

I would really want to know what your reasons for that statement are.
All logic says otherwise.

Mostly just to reduce the need to replace the center bearing ever again plus the weight savings. Most 1-piece driveshafts, especially aluminum ones, eliminate a good deal of weight from the drivetrain so you gain more power. A new center bearing for a 2-piece is around $100-135 while a new 1-piece is around $250. If you just want to get it back on the road, 2 piece is fine

A two piece is much stronger and can handle more RPM.
It also gives more ground clearance.

In 5th gear my shaft exceeds 12.000 RPM and a single piece shaft in an S-chassis is too long to be safe at those speeds.
The shaft rating says my shaft handles little over 7000rpm, of course it will handle more in reality but I still do not consider that a safe solution.

The only downside to a two piece is the stock carrier bearing, but there are several alternatives and some even stiffen up the stock one.

Ohhhhhhh I see so you were originally asking if a z32 yoke would be an upgrade on your 240? Now I get it

No, I just wanted a uprated unit when I first bought one to suit my z32 transmission. :-)
