Z32 Window Stuck Up!?

ok, my 91TT drivers side wondow decided to stop working while in the up position, the issue is getting the door panel off so that I can diagnose and fix the problem, I've had the panels off and the nly way I can see to get them ff is with the window at least part way down to access that little plug that conceals the screw retaining the cover on the back of the door near the B pillar

anyone got a trick for doing this aside from destroving the panel?

Hey Man I'm in the same boat. Did you ever get a fix for this? The dealer ship wants to break my panel, then charge me 630 for new motors, and 115 for new regulators, and that's without the labor? What a rip off. Do you know if there is a site somewhere that lists local shops that specialize in Z's?

I managed to pry the upper trim panel back enough to get those 2 bolts off without damaging it

Did you check your fuses? Its to the left of the clutch pedal you have to remove the plastic cover. that was the problem for me. Toook about 5 min. Checked fuse, went to autozone, got new fuse, put new fuse in, were good to go!

wow must be a common problem, its burdend me aswell. i thought i checked all the fuses, but ill go for round two on checking. good luck with the window fixing guys, i heard it could be the switch aswell, they get dust in em and no longer work.... probably the motor though

Thanks for the tip... I got the panels off but the motor is stuck up inside the panel? And tricks on getting the window motor to lower to swap it out?

I unbolted it and wrestled it out while holding the glass up, huge PITA!

Which bolts did you undo? I've been trying to fina a diagram somewhere but not having much luck...
