Ok so after quick searching I couldn't find the answer to my question.

I finally got off my lazy arse and ordered some Z32 Brembos so I can finally do my upgrade (Z32 30MM Alum w/stainless conversion lines). I don't plan on mangeling the stock rotor dust shields to fit the new brakes so instead I am just going to remove them.

My question is.... what size cotter pins do I need to re-install the front hubs once I remove them to take the shields out? Also, how do I get those hub dust caps off to get to the nut? I tried to take them off a few years ago but couldn't budge them.

Thanks guys!

for the hub nut cap, I use the flat head and a mallet

for the shield, isn't it behind the hub? once the hub comes off the shield comes right off

just cut the shields, since you dont need to change the hubs its not worth all the effort just to get the shields off

and btw z32's arent brembos

Sorry I meant Brembo rotors.. I already have the other stuff.

The reason I didn't want to cut them is because they look all mangled. I guess if I used a pneumatic cutting wheel I could make it look decent but that adds more work anyway.

I would remove them but cutting works too if you have the right tool.

good luck

Just buy a cotter pin assortment from autozone. It's a good thing to have around anyways.
