My gearbox has seen better days.. Im looking for a z32 gearbox cause I dont want to break more gearboxes. But I wonder if I also have to get a z32 prop shaft or does the SR prop shaft fit to the z32 gearbox?

Regards Tommy

check out mazworks, you will need their kit to fit the trans to a KA/SR. comes with a driveshaft too.

Thanks guys but I already have the adapter kit except the prop shaft. And the guy I bought it from didnt know if i needed a z32 prop shaft and weld it to my sr prop shaft. I`m asking this cause I dont want to take down the gearbox until I have all the parts. I´m sharing garage with my brother and he needs more room now then I need with his Stealth (I know.... )

So does the SR prop shaft fit or do I need a z32 prop shaft and weld it to the SR.

Best regardsTommy

they are different and need to be changed. the length is different, i'd reccomend a driveshaft shop do the "surgery" to get the length, balance and connections right.

might be cheaper to see if you can get just the driveshaft from mazworks, dunno. GL.

Thank you! That`s what I wanted to hear. I`m just gonna buy a used z32 prod shaft from some local junk yard and cut it to the right length and leave the rest to a blacksmith I know.

When I buy parts or other stuff from outside of the european union I have to except from pretty expensive shipping cost also pay 25% tax on parts and 5% duty with insurance on shipping.

Best regardsTommy

Z32 transmission is strong but dont buy into the misconception that its indestructable. Mazworx uses it in there IHRA Drag Car but they also have a PPG Dog Gear Set installed for added strength and clutchless shifts. I think OS Giken Gear Set for the SR is probably just as good as the stock Z32 Trans but its just my opinion.

The price is also at least the double then a used and checked over z32 transmission. We have s14 model here around 600bhp who drives with z32 transmission and they still works

Good with different suggestions!!
