z32 transmission

Hi I know they make adapters but has anyone figured out how to delete the linkage from a z32 transmission I haven't had one to open up or anything but I can see they have that plate on top where the shifter normally goes has anyone figured out a way to take put the regular 240sx shifter assembly there even if you gotta open both transmissions to get to it or even parts from the gtr awd transmission???
