I took my cluster out today to adjust the tach on my Z and it's very easy.

There are like 6 screws that hold the cluster halves together. After you take those out there are 2 wires to disconnect, they are red and yellow, label them accordingly.

After it's apart you can look behind the tach face on the right side and you'll see a white potentiometer. It faces the passenger side when it's in the car. I took it back out and plugged it back into the Z and started it up.

I adjusted it to what I thought was right and then using the nico ecu in valet mode I ran up to the 3k redline and it was good enough for me. Maybe 100 or so off. No big deal to me. If you have some kind of dwell/tach meter it should be really easy to make ti 100% accurate. No gauge needles to mess with at all, just put it back together.

Awesome! I hope my Pathfinder tach is set up the same way. I finally bought a timing light with an LCD screen with the RPM readout that should make getting it set up easy.

Car: lots of unique hot rods, and customs, with modern engines, and a good truck to pull the trailer.

Thank you for the good info.

Glad to know it is not difficult like other parts of the swap
