So, first off, not sure if this should go into the technical section or if this is fine for general chat..

also sorry for the very noob questions.

okay, so, serched threw the fourms, read the write ups that i could find,
http://importnut.net/300zxbrakeswap.htm etc.

but i guess im just kinda overwhelmed with the information and maybe im confusing myself, so heres my question

im sittin on a 98' 240sx with the stock 4lug. to upgrade to a 5 lug setup all i really need are the oem s14 hubs from the SE//LE like these correct?
http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/5bolt.html

now that being said, for some reason i got it into my head that i would need to upgrade the breaks and everything involved in that, to get the 5 lug working which brings me to the z32's

with the break setup, i need the front and rear rotars, calipers, spindles, lines, and master cylinder off the 300zx basicly?

now, back to the 5lug, either keepin with what i have now, or upgradeing to the z32's.. that has nothing to do with the hub that i put on there?

sorry for the length of the post, i just want to make sure i got all of this down before i spend a few hundred on parts that i may or may not need.

also, eventually plan on upgradeing my breaks, but id like to get the 5 lug going sooner than later, got my hands on a set of near-new 350z roadster tires/rims from a friend that got tierd of his

just got to figure out what my budget can handle as buying the whole z32 setup and then having to go buy the hubs sepretly but at the same time might be too much, vs buying the hubs now and getting everything else in amonth or so

thanks for the help guys&gals

Your grammar is impeccable.

Not really sure what you're asking, but if your budget allows it, you'll save money by doing the brake swap at the same time. There are multiple threads on what is needed for the z32 brake swap, check out the 240sx tech page, there is a link on the right hand side of your screen. You can do rear z32 hubs without z32 brakes, but you'll need oem s14 5 lug rotors.

you guys are mean :<

either way, i write how I speak, if that makes any sence.

what i was trying to ask, was with my current setup, are the only things i need to get my car to a 5 lug, new hubs. That or should i go with the z32's and if so, what all more do i need, i think what chris said is if i do go with them, id need new rotars from the s14 5lug? not z32 rotars?

still lost =/

People on this forum tend to "troll" rather then help. 95% of what you read is completely useless, people talking out of their asses, or repeating what was previously said.

Fortunately, 95% of my posts are helpful and this is one of them.

If you are upgrading to 5 lug, you do NOT need to upgrade brakes also. The only thing you need to do is get different ROTORS. The reason being is that your current ones are drilled for 4 lug, you will need them for your new 5 lug setup.

You can either A) Go to your local parts store and get a set of rotors for a 95-98 240sx SE (which will be 5 lug and the correct size) OR you can "jiggy rig" it and drill your own holes.
I recommend buying new ones. They are not that spendy.

S14 4 to 5 lug is a piece of cake. Switch out the hubs, get 5 lug rotors (or drill) as S13xCrazy said and you're good to go.

To clarify, you need the Rotors (just like you posted) AND 5 lug hubs! :bigthumb:
