I don't know about the 300zx rollbar into the 'vert. Something tells me it might be a bit too wide?

I have heard that the Mazda Miata rollbars work reasonably well. They are a tad narrow, but can be welded in just fine. I think the height and fit looks great!

If you decide to try the Z bar, let us know how it works!

I'm pretty sure they're called light bars. But if you were to start researching 300ZX convertible roll bar, you'd find info on it. But, AFAIK, those bars are like miata and mustang bars. They don't go all the way to the floor pan, so they only tie together the upper part of the unibody. It's better than nothing, but not as good as it could be. Also, given that Z32 verts are highly rare, you'll have a tough time finding one and the cost would probably be the same, if not higher, than having a custom bar made up or buying the bar from FRSport

Actually... iono bout the "better than nothing" - imagine rolling over - that light bar is gonna collapse and either move forward or backward or to the sides - better hope it doesn't move forward.

The roll bar that FRSport sells rules - imho, closest thing you can get to a custom roll bar as you can get via mail-order.

Of course, if you aren't planning on tracking your car at all, this may also do more harm than good (i.e. as in having a roll bar in any car which isn't tracked makes it unnecessarily more dangerous during street driving - no helmet and/or no harness, no bucket, etc).
