z32 rear on a 90 240sx

Hey guys is there anyone here that has put the z32 rear on a 90 240sx?? If so was modifications are need.

There's a difference in design? don't they use the same differential housing?

Alright so the swap does work but I need the rear end of the z32 n/a??? But what happens if im running a KA24ET. and can anyone tell me why I can not use the rear of a z32 turbo???

the n/a diff is a R200, same as 240sx, but the tt is a R230 (I THINK) it looks totally different and will not bolt in, to big.

skylinekin gets the cookie! you'll want the axles from a j30 to boot.

The Z32 uses the 2 bolt rear cover so if you own an S13 you'll need to switch it. The biggest problem with the Z32 is that the output flanges are different. They look like a '5 star' flange where the 240SX uses 3 sets of 2.

You will also need 2 longer mounting bolts for the S13 chassis, and 2 large washers for the front mounts...to be used with the large bushings on the front mounts.

Listed here are some R200V VLSDs that will also work:

Infiniti J30 95+ , No mods needed, but might need driveshaft that's used because of ABS sensor Infiniti J30 pre 95 , Needs new output flanges Infiniti M30 , No mods Infiniti Q45 , No mods
