Hey, I don't have an SR and I don't plan to. (going KA-T) but I read about this and this was on my mind. I hear you can swap in z32 pistons into your SR and they bump up your displacement by 100cc's. Sounds smart as the stock z32 piston should give out at about 500hp which is higher then the SR's breaking point I hear. What do you guys think of this and have you heard of anyone who has don't it? I know Nobuteru Taniguchi (NOB) that drifter has done it to his S15.

Swapping pistons doesnt do anything for your displacement.

Displacement is the sum of the cylindrical volumes of all the cylinders int he engine, defined entirely by bore and stroke.

Swapping pistons will change your compression ratio, among other things.

lol, That's what I was thinking but this is weird though cuz maybe in japan it does. He even calls it a 2.1 SR now. I'll try to find the article, that's super street for you.

the z32's have a bigger bore. I think they're 87mm iirc. The stock sr pistons can take 500. If you're serious about getting some real pistons, get some CP pistons.

The Z32 pistons will fit only if you bore out the SR block. I've looked into possibly doing this, mainly cause the cost of the Z pistons are much less than an aftermarket forged piston.
