OK its not a Z32 its a J30(na vg30de) same engine without the sexy body.

We are running a j30 on various famous road courses like Sebring ,PBIR and Homestead. Now that the car is up to speed we are suddenly consuming tons of oil, the engine is 100% stock and in good condition, no cyl leakage/blowby or smoke unless we drop speed fast while entering a hard right hander, then a healthy puff of light blue from the mufflers, no other time.

My research has pointed me to the PCV system. The question is how to deal with this without removing the plenum, a simple reroute is what I have in mind.

Yup, here's your free fish for the day :-)

Removing the plenum shouldn't be a big deal either. Much easier with the water line bypass and EGR delete. But the EGR delete is a whore.

Thanks for the link but for now I am looking for someone that has had solid results at the track with a non plenum removal reroute, it can look/be ghetto, all we care about are results.

I saw a pic that simply Ts off the right valve cover to add some height to the problem area, how well does that work?

I am against the idea but seeing the car is a 100% track car how well does it work with the pcv disconnected and vented into catch cans.

I don't know anyone who tracks and hasn't removed their plenum at least once. If you drill into the intake cam covers, you need to clean them out as well, which requires the plenum to be removed.

You could go the catch can route as well.

Thread dug up from the dead to make a final report, after several attempts at rerouting using different configurations over 8500+ race miles the solution was the most obvious, plug/delete the PCV but leave the vent tubes to the throttle bodies, we went from consuming 1+ qt oil per hour to .5 quart in 12 hours (800 continuous race miles)
