so iv been aprt of nico for about a year mow but mostly witht he 240sx thing lol but now have the true car of my dreams in a z32 all ways wanted one now have, its a 90 2+2 nothing great about it only up grades are a jwt pop charge and some what look like to be password jdm mufflers lol i know i know, but all done by the guy befoire me, car seems to run just fine and was sed to have just been re-built last year, but i did have one concern whne i start the car in the morning i have some white smoke comeing out the driver tail pipe, and once the car is warmed up it goes away and it dosent seem to affect the way the car runs, so not too worried about it, thinking maybe valve seals, but i do kinda remeber reading someware oin hear that it might be something worse then that, but ill be honest i have never been able to sure the search all that well lol. so as much crap as im gunna get for it can some one pleeeez help , abd allso need to replacer the cats and was wondering if anyone has any pics of the specialty z test pipes?? they dont seem to have any thanks guys :gotme

since it goes away after the car is warm, nbd, just condensation burning off. if it continually burns white after warming up, that means some coolant is being burned in the combustion cycle, indicative of a head gasket leak (most likely). that is a major problem and a pita to fix.

If you are running stock mid-pipes they have a tendancy to carry a little condenstation in the them, most likely due to their age. There has been different arguments on the matter (bad gas, collections of pockets of condensation, etc).

But really, if you want to be sure. Do a compression test just to ease your worries but it sounds like just basic condensation in the exhaust to me. Compression test is very simple to do with a compression tester, a buddy and a little patience.
