Hello folks,

Having issues installing a new trans output/tail shaft seal. :ohno:

My question: which tool is used to replace the Nissan J26082? :gotme

I've even contacted a few people on eBay, no luck; sorted through a huge amount of tools
on eBay, nothing yet.
Tried to look for the tool in the OEM manual, nothing. I can't find none of the factory tools
or alternatives.

Thanks in advance.

PVC pipe of matching diameter with a cap and a rubber mallet. I've never seen a special tool to install seals.

Thank you sir.
Went to the hardware store and put together a PVC contraption to install the seal.

For smaller seals such as the camshaft seals most use a large socket.

You must bear directly on the OD of the seal to properly force the seal body in, if you are not covering the outer edge the seal will fold inboard of the edge and deform to ruin. A good tool is somewhat bigger to catch that seal OD and it also hits the surface of the part the seal installs to, that provides a positive stop when the seal gets dead flush. NEVER use a tool that is slightly smaller than the seal OD, death lies there.
