I purchased a Z32 MC from a salvage yard and found that the flare fitting was not in the middle hole when I removed the plug (seems to be pretty common). I cut my stock mc open to get the fitting and found out the outer hole on the fitting was smaller then the ones already in the Z mc. Also it does not "stick" into the Z32 mc, it seems smaller then the opening on the Z mc so it just falls out. Has anyone else had these problems before?

Yea , my M/C was from a 93 I believe. I had to drill out the M/C slightly for the fitting to work. Use a drill index to find the size of the fitting and go about 1/64 or 1/32" smaller with your bit. Then tap it in with a wooden dowel. If it doesn't go in easy don't force it. Blow out the shavings before you install/rebuild it. Justin
