Youll need a tune, not worth it IMO unless you get injectors too and at that point you should get a new turbo as well so go big or go home

I have a front mount intercooler with the type r blowoff valve and the HKS high boost accuator. So I need to tune the car in order to run right with it?

id wait till you max out your stock maf to install the z32 unless you get a real tune.

It's useless until you max out your stock maf.

Yes you need a tune in order to run use it correctly.

SAFC is a means of tuning. Technically you are tuned.

it runs awesome because your safc is a tuning device, however you diddnt gain any power from the maf.

i dont see how providing a less restrictive maf doesnt gain you anything

the diameter is bigger and it reads more air. thats it. i have all kinds of mafs sittin around so i see that its bigger yes. but if your motor cant use any more of that air its not gonna gain any real hp. show me one thread where someone gained anything worthwhile by just adding a maf. only when the stocker is maxxed out

You're running a forced induction setup. The amount of free flow provided by a slightly larger MAF is peanuts when you have a device that is actively sucking in more air to compress.

The only point to upgrade to a Z32 MAF is when you top out your fuel injection setup, which on stock SRs, tends to be at around 250-ish WHP. The Z MAF is there to support larger HP numbers by providing accurate data to the ECU on air flowing into the system. It is not a power gainer itself. Much like how swapping to larger injectors doesn't miraculously give you more power, but more fuel supports increased air volume from a larger turbo to make the power.
