i am about to get the z32 mafs....it looks like the plug is different from the plug that goes to my stock maf now... is there some kind of harness that i will need to make it work or what??~Scott

there is a harness you can buy, or you can wire it up....

most people just wire it...sorry, i dont have a diagram or anything, im sure someone here, or FA will....

If you were really picky, you could get a Tomei Z32 maf adapter harness from JSPEC

oh ya...well if it's 6 wires going into 4 wires...what do i do about that?? thanks btw, the NA and TT have the same mafs on a Z right?

the Z maf has an extra ground I belive, and yes the mafs are the same, NA, or TT

I just wired my z32 mafs up about 5 weeks ago. It's in my carboy book back at home in Japan. Right now i'm in saudi and don't remember exactly. I can try to help you as best as possible. On the z32 side you have to cut off the #1 wire and cross the #3 and #4 wire together. On the SR side you should have 3 wires. A white, a black, and a black with white strips. The black with white strips I think goes to the #3 and #4 that you crossed on the z32 and the white and black I can't remeber. I tried every combination of wires together and it didn't fry or hurt anything to the best of my knowledge. It just ran very crappy. You'll know when you get them right. It will start right up and without hesitation. As soon as I tried to start my car with the incorrect wirring it was very evident that it wasn't right and I shut it back off. I'm also running a power fc w/commander and can selelct the upgraded z32 mafs on the commander. Hope this helps a little. Destin 93 S13 silvia w/hks 2540

as far as that diagram goes, i can't read it...its real fuzzy. is it just me or is everyone's??? if it is clear to u guys, can u tell me...Silbeer, i'm gonna try ur way for now. i'm getting the MAF tomorrow. THanks guys.~Scott

someone had said that you only use the center 4 pins, and not the outter 2....i dont know though, but anyone?

Hey I H8 UR DSM check it again if u wire it like i posted before u are only using the center pins (2,3,5 u can crosswire pin 4 with pin 3 but it's not nessecary) , the outer pins (1,6) aren't in use if u wire it like this.

well..i put on the maf today. started it up, and it runs like ****. i do have the JWT ecu though and its programmed for the stock maf. i called JWT and talked to Jim Wolf personally and he said that it would run like that until i upgraded my ECU. woo hoo. 100 bux. i will wait until my to4e and my 550cc inj come in to send off my ecu. til then, i put my stock maf back on. However, when i did have the z32 maf on, it ran *****y until the turbo would start to spool a little and then it had sort of a smooth transition upwards into the rpms at around 2500. i could honestly feel a difference for that little moment. Anyways, i'm gonna get ready to go out drink my waste of day away...hehe. I really appreciate all of your help fellas. I will just wait a week or two, besides my injectors are on national backorder cuz the ports on the west coast are on some kinda strike, so my injectors are probably on some boat in the pacific. lucky me. ;) THanks again.~Scott

yes your ecu either has to be tuned, or use a apexi afc
