z32 maf w/o power fc

is there anyway to use a z32 maf with out a Power fc or any other piggy back system?

doing a swap with a type2 engine and not having luck finding a used type2 maf. so i am trying other possible routes

im not to sure if you can use it w/o a system.

but checking on ebay a brand new safcII was 265. so even if thats to much for your budget, you might be able to find a used or even older model for cheaper.
