My SR20 is misfiring at 5 grand because my stock maf is maxing out. So this leads me to believe that I need a Z32 maf. I'm able to find the adapter somewhat easily but I cant find the MAF itself anywhere. Does anyone have one for sale or know where I can get one? Also should I stick with OEM or aftermarket? Ive heard that aftermarket ones aren't always very good.

Aftermarket ones are fine, they also havent endured decades of use like secondhand genuine ones these days.

Just dont use an oiled pod filter, or you'll kill your expensive AFM pretty quickly. People that complain of their brand new aftermarket ones breaking prematurely are usually doing this.

It is extremely unlikely that a stock SR turbo with anywhere near safe boost (15 psi) is maxing out the SR MAFS.

Misfiring at 5000 rpm is very likely SPARK PLUG GAP TOO BIG = spark is being blown out. Gap it down to .28 - .32 - straight out of the box (~.45) is not correct.

If OP doesn't have bigger injectors and turbo, Z32 MAF is NOT an upgrade at all - You will gain nothing. Also, it will not work right with an untuned stock SR ECU - must use fuel computer or tuned ECU.

Good luck!
