All a MAF does is measure the amount of air entering the engine. The shape and inner diameter of the MAF has no effect on the engine's performance.

Z32 MAF's are used to facilitate the installation of larger turbochargers because they have the capacity to measure a very large amount of air flow, where an SR maf has a relatively low "celing" to the amount it can measure.

Since you aren't running a larger turbo or even a boost controller, then unfortunately yes a Z32 maf is a waste of your time.

Also using an AFC is not the appropriate way to set up a Z32 maf. For half the cost of the AFC you can get your ecu calibrated to work with the Z32.

its only worth it if you are going to be planning on making your car a +300whp car, and then if you can go D-jetro and afford a good tune i would opt to do without the MAF altogether.

if you use the z32 you will need to get a calibration...yo might as well wait for the injectors and get it done at the same time
