z32 maf question

My car is a 96 s14. My engine ran fine and fired fine. I installed a turbo, RS enthalpy tune and wired in a z32maf. My car turns over but won't fire the brand new plug and play fic injectors. I have plenty of fuel in the fuel rail. Matter of fact when I pull the rail, it will blow out an injector. I sprayed starting fluid in the intake and it fired up but of course it cut off. My question is, will a dead z32 maf cause the injectors not to fire or does the computer send the pulse? I also need to mention I changed to a top fuel rail set up
