I was finally putting my car back together today and when I started it up it was idleing pretty rough and my wideband was reading as rich as it can display (10.0). I am running an Enthalpy ECU tuned for the Z32 MAF, 650cc injectors and my turbo. Also, I set my SAFC to 2 in 2 out. Does anyone know why it would be doing this? When I put the stock SR MAF back on and set the SAFC to 6 in 2 out it idles smooth and the wideband reads mid 14s. The car is a 95 with a S13 redtop. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Here is how I wired the MAF up...

A - nothingB - white wire on SR harnessC - body groundD - black wire on SR harnessE - black/white wire on SR harnessF - nothing

that is the correct way to wire your maf..sounds like a bad maf..put it back on and check for voltage..see if you get a 12v and 5v reading..also try cleaning the thermosister in the maf with electronic cleaner out of a spray can..just spray it right on and nothing else..dont touch it

Thanks man but I think the MAF is good because my buddy with a Z32 tried it out for about 2 weeks and had no problems. All my voltages seemed to be correct and almost match his identically so I don't know what it could be. Any other ideas?

If its like mine it could be distance from your turbo that is causing the problem.

just try cleaning it anyways, it may have got dirty so its worth a shot..also hook it back up and check your voltage..maybe your connections werent good enough last time and this time they will be..if it runs fine with the sr maf then the problem lies in the maf or the connections or perhaps the tune enthalpy gave you was not for a z32 maf, perhaps he forgot..but i highly doubt thatEDIT: that distance looks fine to me

I'll hook it up later and check the voltages and post them but I can't see it being the MAF itself since I've tried 4 or 5 different ones that all worked on other cars. And the one that I am currently using worked fine on my buddys 430whp Z32. I guess I could desolder the MAF harness and resolder it. Thanks for the ideas. Anyone else?
