Hey guys quick question...

Im getting Z32 rear brakes for my Q45t, and Im wondering if you have any specific recommendations on brake pads... Are OEM about as good as it gets, or do you have specific stuff thats good...

Also, would it be worthwhile for me to get Z32 front brakes.. Would it really improve my braking from the Q45 brakes??

I currently am running Axxis pads on my Z and have for my last 2 sets of pads...way better than stock.

For what its worth though....I will run the EBC Redstuff pads when its time to change next. I am truly blown away by the quality of EBC's products. We have the greenstuff pads on the focus and they bite hard and do not dust at all.

I would definatly put the z32 front brakes on too, especially if your putting on better pads.

If you run OEM Q pads and calipers up front and z32 calipers and good pads in the back, you'll be out-of-bias - way over-brake-ed in the rear. Won't stop very well.

I just got the rears for now, as im not sure if I want the Z32 brakes or skyline (which have the same rears regardless)

What do you guys think of the R32 GT-R brakes vs the Z32?

R32 brakes are no better than the Z32 brakes

And as for the pads...yes I think the Redstuffs are better pads but they're two times the cost of the Axxis pads.

Why do you say the R32 brakes arent any better

They are 296x32mm vs 280x30.. Or are you basically saying that you wont see a decrease in stopping distance...?

i have green stuff pads right now, and my only complaint is they make noise when my brakes get hot. but besided that, they are awesome.

Hmmm, ill have to consider it...

So you think the front Z32 brakes would be decent enough.....? instead of going skyline

there are basically three ways to have better braking, 1) more braking area (i.e. bigger caliper), 2) better pads, 3) have the caliper farther away from the hub of the wheel (gives the calipers better leverage). due to the bigger diameter of the skyline front brakes, the caliper is moved farther away from the hub, which makes better braking with even the same caliper. if you order the skyline brake rotors from splparts.com, they send the adapter brackets to relocate the caliper farther out. bottom line, yes, the skyline brakes would be better.

Z32 guys:

Dont underestimate the Q45 fronts.I know rear bias is a bad thing and I hear you but the Q45 brakes are very nearly as good as the Z32 brakes.

The idea here is that since the Q uses a rear bias, youd want to go with a little more in the rear anyway.....

Whatever the case is, nothings gonna happen anytime soon.....

You can also increase braking by increasing pad to disc pressure - i.e. "better" calipers. Weather you go from floating calipers to non, or from 2 pot to 8 pot calipers, putting mechanically better (but not necerrarly bigger) calipers give better braking

Will the Z32 brakes give me more pad sweep area vs the Q fronts..
