My friend has this 300zx that i'm thinking about buying and it won't run for some reason. He only wants 500 bucks for it because he can't figure it out. The car looks in decent shape other than minor dents and dings. He took it into our schools vocational building and they said that it was a fualty fuel injector. I am going to get a volt meter and check each one to see if they all have the same resistance. He said that when you put fuel injector cleaner in it it will start some times but not always. Does anyone know anything to help me fix this problem? And is 500 bucks decent for a 300zx with 17'' koniig's? I really like the car but i looked into the price of fuel injectors and there $140 brand new from advanced auto. Does anyone have spare fuel injectors around? if so how much? Also the back window needs replaced it is shattered. how much do those run? Does anyone have a window for sale? E-mail me @ [email protected]

$500 is definitely not a bad deal at all if the body is still decent and it can be made to run again. I'd throw down $500 any day for a Z32 like that.

I might have some injectors laying around, I'll have to double check though. I do also have rear glass for a 2+0 and 2+2. On to of that, I should be going to Indiana sometime soon so if you did want the glass I could just bring it to you. (I'm from Indiana so I visit there as often as I can )

What year is the 300zx? What motors in it? Vg30E/ VG30ET/ VG30DE/ VG30DET

I ask because you never sad what year it is. If it's an 89 then that makes a big deference!

Nissan OEM injectors are 120 each.. not cheap but worth it.. car should be able to start up though even with one bad injector.. my car started up and ran decent (except for a bit of a fuel smell) with one bad injector and one leaking injector.. make sure to replace them all too.. as far as $500, you cant really go wrong if you are willing to put some time/money/work into it

89 300zx would be Z31 not Z32, they used different injectors, too.

Buying a 18 year old car for $500 is just the opportunity to spend $3,000 - $6,000 in defered maintenence and repairs...........everything rubber will be rotten. Shocks, suspension, harnesses you name it will need replacing

The injectors will swell and fail [eventually] from E10 exposure so be careful of the gasoline you buy.

If you don't know cars and engines think twice since you will have to pay someone for almost every hour of work.
