well its not gonna bolt up so youll have to make your own adapter plate (VH45 plates wont work) but the clutch and flywheel still will bolt up...

I thought that the VH41DE and VH45DE shared the same block and *transmission. So if thats the case it would work/should work.

all 90-01 Q45 use the RE4R03A transmission however they have different bolt patterns..

note that nissan pathfinder, 300ZX twin turbo, etc etc use RE4R03A.. Same basic AT with different bellhousings and other minor differences.

And the RE04 mated with the VH41De uses a different transmission filter kit than the RE04 mated to the VH45DE.

Sorry to thread jack.

But would a z32 motor using the g50 transmission be able to work in a g50?

Let me see if I have this right. You want to put a VG30DE(TT) in a G50 Q45 with the OEM G50 transmission?

Why on earth would you want that?

Let alone a VH41DE with a 5 speed when you could use a VH45DE. Or is it because you want to be the :"First" on NICO.

No offence is meant by this post.

In theory, if you want to fabricate everything to make that work for the same HP and add probably 200lbs and make it more front heavy than it is.

if theres a will, theres a way man.

i'm just trying to explore my options. and i figure nissan engines would work better with this car, instead of toyota engines. although i wouldn't mind a 2jz. lol!i want to swap my motor out for something else and IF possible and I would like to keep it automatic.

shoot me some swap ideas if you guys have any. but try to stay away from rb's, because the parts are too hard to come by or expensive.thanks.

i dont want to dwell on this because this is not the OP's topic of discussion, but why do you think people are taking their TWIN TURBO V6's and other "sweet" engines and putting in VH45DE's???

Because VH45's are amazing.

not mine. it has some kinda bug that i can't fix. so i just want it out, plus i wouldn't mind having a turbo'd car for a change.

but thanks.

anyway...back to the op's topic.

Might try posting up the symptoms and maintenance history in IOM per the sticky there.

Much easier to diagnose a non-turbo engine.

The VH41 out of a Q45 is definitely not as good as the VH45. Not as much of the cool stuff like the main bearing girdle and stuff like that... Some other stuff too..

Depends all what you're wanting to do to it. You could run a VH41 in stock form balls to the walls all day and not really hurt it... which would happen in a buggy

Well the VH41 with OBDII is going to require a standalone ECU to tune and will definitely not be as easy to modify...

If your going for mad power, I'd go with the VH45..
