Has anybody used a z32 gearbox with adapter behind a vh41 using the z32 flywheel and starter?

Wow awesome, been searching everywhere for a definite answer and the closet I go was a guy saying he had to space the starter out with some washers. Just wanted to not have to get a custom flywheel when I can get off the shelf z32 items.

It doesn’t matter witch Vh41, it won't work. I had to do my own adaptor plate. I could ask friend of mine if he can machine another one for you.

Possibly what country you live in an price. That plate looks like you be using the z32 starter? Been hard trying to find a cheap vh41 starter.

Did you use a z32 flywheel as well? Have any trouble with the starter engaging ?

I've got z32 N/A flywheel, gearbox, and starter. Engaging is the same like with mazworx kit, not problem at all.

I've got to check with DHL how much it would be to post it to NZ.
Can you send me pm with more details, at least post code.

Guy at Collins replied to first email but hasn't the next, their one involves using a 350z fly wheel which needs machining and are more expensive than z32 and harder to get as are the clutch kits so I'd prefer to stick with z32 .

I used the collins adapter plate behind my JDM 1993 vh41de, 300zx tt gearbox, 300zx clutch, 300zx flywheel and 300zx starter on the gearbox. I used the spacer disk thats stock behind the vh41de auto flex plate to space out the 300zx flywheel from the crank. I also had the thickness of the adaptor plate machined off the gearbox bell housing. This combo works great. But leaves little room between starter and chassis rails to fit exhaust. I can email photos if requested pm me.

Also I highly recommend replacing the welsh plugs behind the motor. My motor had sat for a very long time and the welsh plugs developed a very small rust hole that I only found after I had everything completely finished and installed in the car. Coolant stated pissing everywhere out of the bellhousing the first time I finally started the car. So I then spent 2 full days pulling the fuc*ing gearbox back out in a setup thats already fuc*ing tight for space to replace 4 $3 welsh plugs. Dont make my mistake! Replace them regardless!

If it's a NA flywheel then you'll be good, if it's a TT flywheel then you'll need to shim your starter.
