I believe my unit has gone bad . I see them up for sale on eBay etc. But I need to check the numbers before I buy one.

Problem: Know one selling them so far can tell me WHERE this module is exactly located? I can't find any videos , pictures or any factory diagrams information on this module. It's driving me nuts! Can some one with some knowledge shed some light on location , removal and any tips that may come in handy ..

Thank you - Much

OK ..... , I got 93 J30 Infiniti which I hear is very very close to 300z's in many respects . I reply only to inform , if not warn you - that if indeed like my 'J ' , it's down , low , behind drvr's kick panel , and behind the transmission ctrl module (TCM) , THEN you can remove all the connectors and ALL the 'anything' in and around the fuse panel ( near park brake pedal) . Cause it is IN BACK of this fuse panel which took me 6 ( SIX f'n trys ) to loosen and only to get a crack at a 2" gap so I could pull out the time ctrl unit (T C M-odule) . There's also 3 relays behind ( stupid design) , one of which is the start relay ! Unbelievable ! Worst of all - the time ctrl module has very hard to release 'levers' , which I , in many cases , "Dremel-down" the tabs to "make & break" a lot easier , keeping still a relative secure hold too .
But , I sure hope yours IS different .
