I need to get some pics but these are now off my car and available for immediate sale. They already have the top hats for the rear.So these are basically ready to bolt right on. One of the fronts needs a new strut bushing. I would just buy the pair and have both of the fronts replaced. but you can do just the one with no problems.

Looking @ 500+shipping.

They don't leak and I will get some pics up this weekend. they are dusty from AZ desert weather but work great.

Could I just use a strut bushing out of one of my Q struts or would I need to get them for the Z struts?

You could use your original bushing but then you have to deal with pressing it out and not damaging the bushing.

I do believe they are shorter, thus the dump factor.

So these would just bolt on to to my 92 G50 with no other mods? I'm considering lowering the car and still haven't decided on air or coilovers. How did they feel?

I really have no experience with suspension and I think that my stock suspension may be on its way out. I'm looking to really do the change by the end of December (the latest).

To make these work you need:

Press in a new OEM Bushing depends (for the missing one only)If you have a 90-93 you will need new bushings for both.

And drill out the strut holes so the fronts fit.

The ride was that stiff but there wasn't a whole lot of suspension travel either. stiffer springs would help. It was tolerable but I couldn't deal with the pot holes and speed bumps on a daily basis so I gave up. Maybe if I had my Q as a weekend car but not as a daily.

you HAVE to have coilovers to get a good air suspension setup. air bags on factory struts is FTL

Just buy them and save up for the bags to put on.

Really? I was under the impression that it was either/or for a VIP setup. When I asked the board before about which route I should take, I got differing answers with some recommending coilovers and others recommending air.

Exactly what are the proper components for lowering a G50 for VIP?

s13 toe arms F&R, z32 camber arms F&R, g50 or z32 coilovers, new bushings (I prefer urethane for longer life since you will be getting heavier wear being lowered), if you go air then you obviously need an air setup.

This is the best route to take imo. If you go any other way you are wasting money in the long run.

Thanks.

I had budgeted about $4k to start with. I had planned to start with an air setup and a wheel and tire package. I figured they'd be about $2k a piece. I guess I have to go back to the drawing board.

Heres what I spent on mine approximately.

Wheels & Tires $2000Coilovers $1700Camber Arms $300Toe Arms $250Energy 300zx poly bush $170Total $4420

That doesn't include the other set of 4 tires I had to buy in the next month due to rubbing issues or the braking upgrade. I figure a good air system from Driftgirl (she seems to have the best kit for the best price) on VSC will cost you $2000. Of course you could save a grand by getting 300zx coilovers but that's your call.

Sorry to jack the thread, I didn't mean for it to turn out this way. Oh well, we're here now, no sense in stopping.

Thanks for the advice.
