z32 brakes squeeling,new pads

I have the z32 brakes on my s14,and they have squeeled since i got them.it takes a little while of driving for them to start.I just replaced the brake pads hoping it would stop,but they still do it just as bad.I dont have those little metal plates that go on the back of the pads.idk id the z32 brakes had those.i know the stock brakes did so i thought maybe that could cause it?anyone know?

There's this silicone stuff you can apply on the back of the pads between metal plates. You can get it from Autozone. Try that.

but there are no metal plates on there,thats what I was asking about.I saw a thread on here about rebuilding them yesterday and it looked like he didnt have them either

I created that thread and it was only for rebuilding calipers. That's why you didn't see metal plates there. This is what I did after that.

yea mine dont have those.I had found a full set on ebay but once I had the money they were gone.none of the junkyards around me have any z32s so I cant just go to one and pull them off.You think thats what is causing them to squeel?

I think so. I have some extra metal plates somewhere in my garage. I'll let you know.
