I have an S14 w/ S14 SR swap, a fair amount of suspension upgrades, and as of now stock brakes with Metal Master pads, stock 16x6.5 SE wheels with 205/55/R16 Goodyear Eagle RH tires. I spin the rear tires like crazy on high boost and have pretty much no grip considering the amount of power I have. I am able to lock these stock wheels and tires up really easily with the stock brakes and upgraded pads, but know that eventually I'll want bigger brakes. I HATE the way these wheels and tires look and the lack of traction, but aybe i should do a Z32 upgrade first? The car is daily driven and I hope to do some mild road racing by the end of the summer. I am saving up some money right now, but can only get one or the other maybe every 4-6 months. Which should I do first?Which first? Z32 Brakes or 17x8, 17x9 wheels/tires?

tires I'd say. You say you lock the wheels real easy with your stock equipment, imagine with the upgrade?

To me, it's a no brainer...

thanks for the replies. I know it seems like a no brainer, but i guess what i also meant to ask is:after upgrading to grippier tires and larger diameter wheels, will the brakes be so over taxed that i'd be worse off than with poor of traction and powerful brakes?my logic tells me what you guys have said, but i just wanted some opinions. thanks
