Man! After weeks and weeks of research I am ALMOST done with my s13-z32 brakes upgrade. And a few things i've found out Pizz me off.

I did the Z32 brakes all around: and I found out that:

1. You don't need no darn R33 ebrake cables!2. You don't need (300zx 2+2) ebrake cables either!3. YOU DON"T NEED to splice no DARN WIRES! as stated in "Definitive Brake swap" INCORRECT and UNSAFE!!!!

THE STOCK Z32 (90+) 300ZX 2 SEAT EBRAKE CABLES WILL REACH THE T-BAR IF YOU RUN IT THOUGH THE OVAL CONTROL ARM HOLE.~

3. YOU WILL NEED (300ZX TO 240SX) STAINLESS STEEL LINES) ALL AROUND4. YOU WILL NEED A "FLARED" FITTING FOR THE NEW 300ZX MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER.

5. People make this MOD so freaking COMPLICATE!

6. Performance NISSAN or Duarte, CA doesn't even have R33 cables! They lie! I went to them, and they told me "oh, we don't have it becaues we are f@gs" Their Website however, said they have ENDLESS supplies, I called them, and the worker said "yes, We have 3."

7. iM RUNNING: z32 stock N/A rims. 16x7.5 (225/50/16) and YOU MUST HAVE AT least a 5mm spacer for both the front rims or else the tires will hit the front shock absorber walls.

IN conclusion: NO NEED TO SPLICE 240SX EBRAKE CABLES! NOR BUY R33 NOR BUY 300ZX 2+2 EBRAKE CABLES!

****JUST USE THE 300ZX 2 SEATER EBRAKE CABLE IF YOU HAVE IT,**** AND RE-ROUTE THEM, THE FIT LIKE.....SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EXACT +.001 - .001 THOUSANDTHS!!!!!!!

PEOPLE ARE LAME! AND HERE'S THE TRUTH! IM ANGRY AT HOW EASY THIS MOD TURNED OUT TO BE, AND PEOPLE GOT IT ALL CONFUSING!

Good job, sticky this in the brakes/suspension forum with the Z32 brake sticky and get yourself a custom title, talk to a mod about it.

Yeah, I thought so.

R33 lines for S14.

For sure, this Brake mod was a learning experience.

1. I still need to put in the new 1 1/16 Master Brake Cylinder (with the extra fitting)

2. I still need to bleed the brakes.

The Most difficult part of the whole mod, IMO, was the cutting of the front dust cover (backing plate). You have to snip off the stock s13's dust cover and bend it back a little so that the rotor doesn't rub.

3. You will need at least a 5mm Shim (spacer) or else the 300zx Tire (225/50/16) will rub.

4. I will Run these stock Rotors and brake pads, untill I can get the X drilled slotted Brembo.

5. I will High pressure wash my car, SO DUSTY!

6. If Yall need help, or ADVICE, Im here! Glad to help.

7. This was the 26mm brake conversion. ****

I just keep them on.

It's all good. I don't want dust to get on my calipers and stuff.Hey clawhammer,Did you need spacers those SE wheel?

I had to use 5mm spacers for these front 300zx wheels.16x7.5 255/50/16.

how did you secure the e-brake cables to the floorboard near the t-bar?

Well,

Option #1: I was using the stock 300zx ebrake cable. (2 seater) and it will go on to the T bar. You have to drill throught the floor pan and put a bolt to hold the ebrake down.

Option 2: You can make a braket and bend it and use the stock 240sx Hole.

Option 3: (I had to do this one because I accidently snapped the 300zx e brake cable, [I was grinding the cylindrical tip on the Ebrake cable and accidently grinded into the braided ebrake line cutting half of it) Then I test it, and it snapped.

So I put back the 240sx ebrake cable. But this time.......I criss-cross the ebrake cables. the Driver ebrake cable goes to the passenger side, and the passenger goes to the driver side. You slip the Ebrake cable through the "ebrake Hole" which is part of the lower arm. (the 300zx Uses this Hole and the 300zx ebrake goes through it)

Now you, Need a MIG welder. Now you Weld the 240sx ebrake line (bracket) This bracket is from the 240sx and it originally was bolted onto the 240sx caliper.

After doing so, you just cut the 300zx cable and connect to the 240sx cable with u clams and cable crimps~

YES, It's hard to explain, I'll post up more pictures but too lazy to take off the tire right now...

I just picked up some SE wheels, I might shoot them up GOLD >>>>

mr. CLawHammer is my hero!~ This man has good taste~ VERY NIce..I like~~~

Hmmm, your setup looks exactly like mine!

Here's what I did when I did my ebrake:

I took a the clamps off the z32 ebrake lines:

Then I put it on my stock S13 line and pulled the line over and bolted it to the stabilizer bar mount and did a little clampy clampy action:

On the passenger side the S13 line was a little short so I had to go to Lowe's and get an L-bracket and bend one side up and then mounted the line to that:

Not trying to threadjack, just adding some more info.

You know what CLawhammer, I hated you at the beginning when I first saw your hatch with the SE rims,

BUt after a while, I realized that you and I are quite similar

"Great minds think alike~"

What I did was:

I just criss cross them, So the passenger cable goes to the driver wheel side, and the driver side goes to the passenger side. (Get nice and dirty under the car and switch the two ENDS)

1a. I used the same bracket off the 240sx (the one at the end of the cable which was bolted onto the Stock 240sx caliper), I slipped the 240sx ebrake through that oval hole then I slide the bracket over, and put on the Wedge Clip.

1.B Now I mark (or just EYE") the bracket and used a Hacksaw to cut off the protruding excess.

1.C. Now I used a VISE grip and gripped the Bracket onto the lower arm. (I USED MY LINCONL MIG WELDER, TACK WELD, TACK SOME MORE~)

1D. Instead of cutting the 240sx cable "Stub" off the end of the cable. I just left it there.

2. From the Ebrake line (From the back of the Dust shield, I cut the 300zx cable about 10 inches (Just for assurance, thinking I can always trim it if it's longer, ***Better longer than short***

3. Instead of using the outer 300zx sleeve at the bottom. (I cut about 6 inches off the top and used the Top of the sleeve with the "stubby bracket" This way, the 300zx cable would have a nice End with the "Rubber Accordion Dirt protection grommet."

5. Now I used the 300zx "cable sleeve bracket (that brownish-green one). This bracket, with a little, twist~ I bent it down and used the sway/stabilizer bar bolt and nut to tightening down.*** you must drill the hole a little bigger for this braket to go over the bolt. I used a closed end Bolts which i had laying around and tighten it.

****I used 2 "U" clamps to secure the two cables together, and 1 cable Crimp at the END to make sure that these WILL NEVER SLIP. VERY UGLY JOB, but Im paranoid!!! Its very safe~ though. I tested out each and every chance!

The end result looks like this. BUT THERE ARE NUMEROUS WAYS. JUST BE CREATIVE! The WELDMENT is extremel stong I went over it a few times with the MIG to make sure.

I could have just used the 300zx cable and make a custom bracket, (BUT I SNAPPED THE STUB OFF THE 300ZX CABLE~ THUS RESORTING TO THIS METHOD_ WHICH WAS A LOT OF FUN TOO~

LOL WE EVEN PAINTED THE CALIPERS BLACK~~~~ I wanted to do gold, or RED at first but that was too FLASHY and I know you thought abou it too~
