I just ordered the 30mm aluminum calipers and preparing to do the brake conversion on a 1995 Nissan 240sx SE with ABS. I was wondering if these will clear my stock wheels? I have the 5lug 16 (tire size 205/55-16). From what I understand I'll need the

Calipersrotors (going with slotted)brake pads (stock I guess)

can the stock 240sx brake lines be used on the conversion?

dude, there is a huge thread at the top of this forum about 300zx brake swapping. and if that doesnt have the info your looking for, im sure one of the links in the thread does, and if that doesnt, im sure one of the other 10,000 threads on this forum about 300zx brake swapping does too. But as far as i know, you may need new rims with the 30mm calipers and rotors, as opposed to the 26mm.

30 MM will be fine in a 16 inch wheel. if you had a 15 inch wheel, you would have problems. Personally I would just stick with the 26 mm because of the weight gain

I'm not too sure the 30mm will clear the wheels unless they're Z32 wheels.....cause I have the 26mm kit and it BARELY cleared my 17's......I depends on the shape of the rim too......

the reason that they barely fit is called OFFSET, figure out wat that is, it will help u. the 30mm calipers fit fine behind the stock SE wheels, u cant use the stock brake lines to fit the 300zx caliper since they use different fittings, its easier and reccomended getting stainless adaptor lines, http://www.pdm-racing.com and http://www.projectsilvia.com sell adaptor lines. PLUS, the stock rubber lines do not hold enough hydraulic pressure now that u are pumping 6 more pistons. u may also want to think about getting a Z master cylinder to pump all that brake fluid. good luck

i drive around on my rotors all day, talk about added traction!

ok j/k. i'm not a weight nazi, but i don't see the added benefit of using the 30mm calipers versus the 26mm calipers. the few extra millimeters isn't going to help pedal feel and give you a significantly shorter braking distance.

as for the 17" wheel clearing that caliper, it looks fine from that pic. and the proper offset wheel will give you plenty of room to fit those calipers in.

can anyone recoomend and offset for the 95 240sx with the 30mm capier setup? I do plan on aftermarket wheels just don't have any clue on what offset to get.

S14 King, theres no really set offset as every wheel is different. Find out which wheel u want and hen post up, a good offset to clear 30mm calipers and sit flush with the fenders can range from a +32 to +38 ...

I have steel braided lines and my offset is +40 like all 89-93 fastbacks......and the wheels are 40 offset too
