hey guys/gals, 96 SE with 5lug hubs

I already finished the rear conversion now i'm having fitment/spacing issues in the front... at first i put the rotor on and then tightened the caliper. because of spacing (i put the washer on on the outside) the rotor would pull on the rotor making in not spin. I bought washers and put them in between the caliper and the bracket and it worked fine. now for some reason i'm doing the same thing on the right side and the rotor rubs slightly with the caliper.

Now putting the brakes in is rather difficult because not a lot of space and after the get in there, the rotor spins only when putting a lot of force. i haven't put the rim onto see if it helps.

any suggestions on how to get this rotor to spin freely. how did you guys do it? any washers/spacers used. how did you guys solve this issue?? ??

Here's a pic of the fitment... it's very tight and no space. i haven't bled the brakes yet since i can't get it to fit right.

Obvious question would be, are you running the correct rotor for the caliper?

Early aluminum calipers ran a 26mm wide rotor. Later aluminum and iron calipers ran a 30mm wide rotor. Even with new pads, I had more than enough clearance to slide the calipers onto the rotors. Methinks those are 26mm calipers.

ding ding ding...

It so happens that autozone gave me the wrong caliper (26mm) but its aluminum not iron... when i ordered them it was for a 91 300zx NA thinking it was the 30mm aluminums. i after this whole problem, i went out and bought the 26mm rotors from a 90 and now it runs Smoooooth...

just didn't change the master cylinder so i have to press the brakes down almost half way in order for it to start grabbing...

Thanks
