So i searched and found that i have the "bad way" 7 spoke rims that wont clear the 26mm calipers (zerothread?id=195947)

So i need to know how big of spacer is needed to clear them? can i pick up a spacer at regular auto parts store?

We don't know what offset you are running so we would merely be guessing...you may need a 5mm spacer, or you may need a 25mm spacer.

screw it, Just get a 25mm spacer and run with it, it will make your wheels "Flusher" too...Intense carries them.

i think youll only need a 5mm spacer, but im not sure. but make sure you get good spacers with longer wheel studs. i tried a 5mm spacer with my stock studs and wheels and could barely get three turns of the nut.

this brake upgrade is going to cost me a lot more than i thought it would, since i need to put some in the front, i would have to do the back to make it look even right?

edit: you are talking about something like this? (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Wheel-Sp ... 0722QQrdZ1) will the stock studs stick out? im unclear about how these work.

I think what they are trying to say is that you will most likely be needing to replace your factory studs with longer aftermarket studs - not sure on length off the top of my head - so that once you put on a spacer (probably a min. of 5mm due to having the bad 7 spoke tires) there will be enough of the stud to go through your spacer and the wheel to allow for the lug nuts to be tightened down properly and safely.

i didnt feel like taking the rim off to see, and i felt the back, and thought it was the "bad" one. But i decided that before i went and bought spacers, i should make sure, so i pulled up the pic, saw that the "good" rims have a little groove in them, then felt for that groove.

I was gonna say... I run a 5mm spacer if/when I use my stock rims and I have the 30mm brakes. I have lengthened Nismo wheelstuds. I beleive I bought them from courtesyparts.com
