Ever since i did the upgrade (i re-drilled 5-lug to 4-lug) i now have a wicked vibration in the steering wheel between 100km/h to 120km/h. Ive have read through the entire sticky on this topic but no one has addressed the balancing of the rotors.

Now oviously re-drilling the rotors changes the balance of them but i assumed that the change in balance is so close to the center of the hub that it should not cause a vibration. Clearly i was wrong. So am i alone with my vibration or can i simply put the rotor on a wheel balancing machine and just balance it that way?

Thanks in advance.

I've got 5 lug rotors that I've drilled for 4 lug. I don't have this vibration, nor have I heard of this being a widespread issue.

It sounds like you somehow knocked a wheel weight off during the installation.

I also recently had my 5lug rotors redrilled to 4lug. I dont have any vibrations at all while driving.
