I'm all for fixing her up right.
I can back that up because I am also in the process of rebuilding my TT, extensively.

I'm currently in the process of swapping all my built TT with goodies from one NA shell (which is beat) into another. I can't speak to the TT drive-train but damn those 4.09 gears make a quick spooling TT a hell of a ride.

I moved my TT shell/motor engine and transmission into a good NA body. It's not a huge deal if you know what you're doing, just takes time. At 360 rwhp, the NA rear end can make 1st and 2nd a bit scary at times. It basically forced my hand to upgrade to 275/17 UHP Summers for the rear so I could try to keep more power down to the ground. Otherwise, I'm having to manage 1st and 2nd so much that really my only goal is to get into 3rd where I can actually use the gear. It did come in handy at the track though where I'm plenty torque-y in 4th that I don't need as many gear shifts, at least where I'm at learning right now.
