Here's a couple pictures of my custom big brake kit for my 300zx. I'm using 3000GT VR4 rotors (1.5" bigger diameter) and machined caliper relcation brackets. Stock calipers are amazing so they are being reused.
I had to trim the dust shield to allow the caliper to bolt up in its new location and because of the offset of my wheels I will have to run a small spacer. Just to be on the safe side, since I'm running a spacer, I'm ordering NISMO longer wheel hub studs.
Also, upon weighing the rotors, the stock sized 300zx rotor weighed in at 15.2lbs and the larger VR4 rotor also weighed 15.2lbs so there appears to be no added weight.
