The internals of turbo and non turbo z32 gear box are the same, the only difference is the bell housing itself. The only gotcha with doing that is that there is a difference in the input shaft length. I forget the exact numbers of the difference, but it's something like 1/8 shorter on the overall length and 1/4" on the splined section. I wouldn't think that it would really make much of a difference unless you were planning on using a multi-disk clutch.
If you want to know exact length difference, I can measure the ones I have kicking around in the garage.
