Z32 - Automatic Transmission upgrade question

just got my Z32 a few days ago and have been reading stuff about it.I wanted to see what performance mods I can do to an Automatic, I want to keep the auto transmission.

i've read about items i wanted to check out but i need more info. you guys have helped me a lot before and i know i can count on you, so here goes:

1. what's a "valve body" job? - from what i've read, it has something to do with the automatic transmission. but what does it do? what benefits? how expensive?

2. HKS ALC? - all i know is that it makes for a much smoother and quicker shift. and from what i've read, it's effect is similar to a valve body job. what are the benefits of having the ALC?

3. Paddle Shifters!!! - when i had the 240SX, i came across this article about the first 240 paddle shifter mod:zerothread?id=179677

would you know if they make this for the Z32 as well, i am very very interested in these paddle shifters, and IMO, would be the best mod for an auto transmission.

all the info you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

The 300zxtt had the RE4R03A vs RE4R01A in un turbo version..........the difference is the ability to handle 300+ lb/ft of torque and somwhat enhanced reliability.

03A is found in 90-96 Q45 also.

so basically what you're saying is my auto transmission: Automatic Transmission (RE4R01A in this case) is the same as the 240SX and the paddle shifter will work for me?
