I'm wanting to get a Z32 300ZX as my first car. I'd like to know if they're a good first car and if they handle good? I want a car that I can easily modify and do track with, but I don't know if a Z32 would be good for that.

please search, a very similar thread was posted last month and is still on the first page in the 300zx general forum. In short: NO the z32 300zx is a terrible first car.

I can't recommend one, they're very expensive cars to own. Especially at your age, there's cheaper fun reliable nissans available that will give you less hassle, i.e. 350z

or the 00-04 maximas are quite fun and can be made to be pretty quick. also are quite reliable

And the 240sx can still be had at an affordable price. Though they are getting up there in years, they are pretty straight forward vehicles.

Yeah I will post the same response that I posted on the thread I posted on a while ago. I am 17 and bought my first 300zx about 6 months ago. Very awesome cars but you need lots of patience and need to do a lot of research. I have done all of the work on my Z and so far has not been too expensive. But I bought mine with a rebuilt engine so hasn't given me too many problems engine wise. If you are not able to have your car down for a couple of weeks at a time and work on it yourself then this might not be the right car for you. I love my Z but they require lots of attention. If you are up for the challenge definitely pull the trigger on a 300zx

Totally agreed, this is my usual response and if you still want one, be ready for a LOT of learning and a LOT of very hard work, and a VERY low bank account level constantly.
